Why Strategy
● As resources are limited, companies need to allocate resources to the highest return. It’s strategy!
● SABRE = Strategic Allocation of Business
Resources Effectiveness
● SABRE interprets the definition of Strategy. If there is no allocation of resources, there is no strategy.
SABRE aims to build an overall business planning framework and develop strategic thinking for leaders.
A real business strategy presentation should be…
【SABRE Strategy Program Objective and Summary】
● SABRE focus on establishing a systematic strategic thinking process for managers
- As resources are limited, companies need to allocate resources to the highest return. Strategy is effective allocation of resources! All managers who have to allocate resources, they need to develop strategies!
● SABRE provides a real business environment where participants have the opportunity to manage a company to understand the whole business and how to interact and cooperate among departments (Not limited to the single section work).
- Participants should make decisions as they would have made in real cases and get the results such as market share.
- Simulation can compress time of business decisions, and can quickly get the impaction the business. The participants will understand the connection between their behavior and the subsequent business results, thus improving their decisions making abilities and behaviors.
● SABRE’s key intention is to help to establish common strategy language for the organization.
- All managers will understand the company‘s objectives, and know how to decompose and achieve the goal by ”which market I need to focus on", "how can I make the products outstanding in the competition", "what products and services should be provided to our customers”.

If you don’t understand Portfolio, you don’t understand strategy
Coca-cola global CGO shared a new conception of the discipline of growth. “Growth is not an objective…It’s a discipline,” he said, “When you practice that discipline, the outcome is growth.”
The Portfolio strategy is behind his words. More and more leading companies present their strategies by using Portfolio. If you don’t understand Portfolio, you don’t understand strategy. SABRE program is unique on revealing all methodologies in a whole picture to get the truth of Portfolio. It’s a discipline and brings growth!
The ideal flow of resources is from the Cash Cows to the Question Marks to build Stars which become future Cash Cows
No matter you run a company or you run a product, they have life circle. The mission of all leaders is to extend the length of the curve on time and expand the height of the curve on sales/profit. Portfolio management is the basic tool to apply into their business.
SABRE Strategy Simulation: always start from two simple questions “What’s the problem?” and “Where is the opportunity?” and move on to draw out the process of strategic planning process.
---Vision, Objective, Strategy (Portfolio: What products to focus on? Segmentation: Which market/which customer will target? Positioning: How we can outstand within the competition?), and successful implementation factors…SABRE deeply contains all these sessions.

Pete Fader,Marketing Prof Wharton Business School: SABRE truly represents the state-of-the-art in simulation design and implementation. At Wharton we were actively looking for the best of breed, and we found it in SABRE. We're no longer "on the market" for a simulation -- we see a long relationship with SABRE for us.
Bill Putsis Professor UNC Business School: “The SABRE simulation is the best business simulation that I have encountered thus far. It's flexibility, ease of use and personal implementation makes it adaptable to almost any learning purpose. Overall, it is an outstanding business learning tool."
VP Bayer AG Koln Germany: The program is absolutely integrated (theory and practice) and it was customized to suit our needs. The results we expected did arrive and the learning effects were excellent. Besides the professionalism in the program, Cam and his team through their enthusiasm and involvement greatly added to the success.”
Paul Huang@ Accenture:This is by far the best strategy and simulation training I’ve ever attended. I wish I can hear more case studies or sharing from you in the class. I am really amazed how significant of the result difference is caused by very few dimensions of strategies/decisions. This simulation has got the balance of simplicity of control and significance of outcome difference to let us learn and “feel” the power of strategy. Although we learn from the generic materials, I will try to apply it into my coming projects. I believe I will have deeper understanding in the process. I hope I can still discuss with you in the future about strategy and see you again in future trainings. Thank you.
Gary Liu@Gilead:The content is appropriate in terms of breadth and depth. It may be helpful to have more in dept discussion of simulation results and review. More specific discussions on what happened and why. May also be even more helpful for participants to think through and share how they can leverage and apply specific frameworks to their current business questions.
Daniel Huang@HALEON:There are many strategy courses both in Chinese and English. I have attended quite a few. SABRE is the most practical one. Combined with computer simulation, it enables learners to summarize and reflect during the learning process. It is definitely worth applying what has been learned back at work!
Bob Zuo@TCL: SABRE simulates the business logic of the real world through the computer simulation, fully considering all elements of market competition, systematically thinking and strategically solving problems. It is particularly necessary for product decision-makers and business operation managers of companies to learn and master it. It can not only help them fully understand the business logic but also require the coordinated application from strategy to tactics to achieve business goals. Although it is a simulation, it is as good as real combat!
Zhao Nan@Yili Group: This is an excellent training program. I will strongly recommend it to my colleagues. The framework and structure are very solid and systematic. The real case sharing effectively supports the content, and the simulation enables us to practice the knowledge we have learned step by step.
